Kenya Missions Update

July 21, 2005

God hears prayers. Please keep praying for the things on the last prayer letter. I asked you to pray for rain, we have had rain the last two days! I asked you to pray for Sammy and Rachel as they went to Kisii, below is the report that I got from their trip from Simeon, the brother at the Kisii training center.

Praise the Lord!

Dear brother Keith Greetings from my family to yours. I hope this letter finds you and your dear family in good health. I want to thank you so much for sending the Kibet family over here to fellowship with us and construct an oven for us. I want to tell you that everything went so well. We started the oven construction as they arrived here on Thursday and it was ready on Saturday morning. And on Sunday afternoon they taught us how to bake the bread and sconces. They also taught us how to mix some ingredients for making juices.

From 11 am to 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, Sammy, Evans and myself visited some Christians houses and prayed with them we also met non members and invited them to the church. Almost every person we talked to, promised to attend. But everybody failed but to. In the afternoon we returned to the church building where he preached to the bible assembly. Many people showed up on Sunday morning for worship and Sammy preached about THE SECOND OPPORTUNITY from the book of Judges 16.

The people here love Sammy so much and his wife Rachel and the boy. We believe that Sammy is a true Christian and preacher of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. A man with such humble heart. Before he left many Christians wanted him to visit their homes and offer prayers there. Unfortunately time was limited; therefore they would not make it to every home. However this was a good sign that people had recognized Sammy as a man of God. Its is my appeal that if this will find favor before your eyes, help Sammy to create more opportunities in winning the lost souls to Christ.

In the name of Christ
Simeon

THIS IS WHAT MAKES MISSION WORK SO REWARDING, TO HEAR SUCH REPORTS!!

P.S. July in Abilene we remember well, when the air conditioning was needed. I sit and write this letter this evening and the temperature reads 62 degrees in the house. Outside it is in the low 50’s. When the sun comes up, it will warm up to the 70’s during the day. Enjoy your summer.
